For those of you who found the 'Help' button unhelpful, here's a little glossary that I hope will help you. If you still have questions, you can PM me or post in the Q&A section.
bump- bumping is when you post nonsense on a thread so that it has more attention/is moved up the board. This is ok to do as long as you aren't doing it excessively.
canon character- characters that are in the movie (such as Thor/Chris Hemsworth) and actual gods/goddesses (Freya).
closed/private/tagged- means that the person who started the topic has specific people in mind that they wish to rp with.
god-modding- when you take over someone else's character without their permission. Example: pretend you're character is Thor and my character is Loki. I post, "Thor? Why are you looking at me?" Thor blinked and stopped looking at Loki.
Don't do this!
ic- in character (this and ooc are like time out and time in type deal)
irl or rl- in real life, or real life.
ooc- out of character. Most people put these in double ( ) or [ ] or { }. Other people choose to put ooc: write whatever is ooc, and then put ic: when they are back in character.
open- means that the person who started the topic is happy for anyone to join and rp (role play) with them.
PM- personal message (this should be in the help button)
RPG- role playing game; you act as a character, and since this is online, instead of acting, you type out your character's actions and dialogue
